1. Scope and data controller
Random Hit LLP, doing business as Wake Wake (“Wake Wake,” “we,” “us,” or “our”), provides the Wake Wake iOS application, website, and customer support channels (together, the “Services”). Random Hit LLP is the data controller responsible for personal information processed under this policy.
This policy applies globally to all users. Where regional laws (such as GDPR in the EU/UK, CCPA/CPRA in California, PIPEDA in Canada, or the Australian Privacy Act) provide additional protections, those protections are fully honored.
2. Information we collect or process
| Category | Examples & Description | Source & Storage |
|---|---|---|
| Account & Identity | Email address, user identifier, and authentication credentials if you choose to create a synced profile. | Provided directly by you or via Sign in with Apple. |
| Alarm & Routine Data | Configured alarm times, repetition days, chosen wake challenges, sound preferences, streaks, and completed milestones. | Stored locally on your iPhone; synced only if account backup is enabled. |
| Camera & Vision Input | Camera frames for Wake Tasks requiring visual verification (squats, push-ups, find-the-sky, make-the-bed). | Processed in-memory and never stored. Downscaled on your device and sent to our server and on to OpenAI for one-time automated verification. Math and Number Lock require no camera at all. |
| Purchases & Subscriptions | Subscription status (Monthly, Annual), trial activation, expiration dates, and anonymized Apple receipt validation tokens. | Provided by Apple via StoreKit. We never see or store your credit card or billing details. |
| Device & Diagnostics | Device model (e.g., iPhone 15), iOS version, app version, language, and anonymized crash logs. | Collected automatically via Apple Opt-in App Analytics and standard diagnostic tools. |
| Support Communications | Email address, message content, bug reports, and attachments you choose to send when contacting support. | Provided directly by you via email or support portal. |
We do not collect precise GPS location, contacts, HealthKit medical records, financial account numbers, or biometric identification templates.
3. Camera & Vision Use
Wake Wake requests iOS Camera permission only when you select an interactive challenge that requires visual verification, such as Squats, Push-ups, Find the Sky, or Make the Bed.
Camera frames for Wake Tasks (squats, push-ups, find-the-sky, make-the-bed) are downscaled on your device and sent to our server, and on to OpenAI, for one-time automated verification. They are processed in memory and are never stored — not by us, and not retained by OpenAI beyond its standard short-term abuse monitoring. Math and Number Lock require no camera at all.
- Zero Persistent Storage: Camera frames are processed in memory and discarded immediately after verification. No photos or video recordings are saved or retained by Wake Wake.
- Zero Facial Recognition: We do not perform facial recognition, identity verification, or biometric profiling.
- Optional Use: You can deny or revoke camera permissions at any time in iOS Settings → Wake Wake, and select non-camera challenges (like Mental Math or Number Lock) without restriction.
4. Purposes and legal bases for processing
We process data to deliver core alarm functionality, verify challenge completion, manage streaks and achievements, validate subscriptions, respond to technical support inquiries, and maintain security.

We retain personal information only for as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes outlined in this policy:
